A decade after the original, the Pelago Sibbo is back.
Drop-bar bikes come in endless sub-categories these days, but our idea has remained the same: a fast steel road bike that doesn’t care about the condition of the pavement. Call it endurance, all-road, or fast gravel—it takes the essentials from each: road speed, all-day comfort, and the freedom to keep rolling when the asphalt runs out.
A ROAD BIKE WITH TEETH

While our workhorses like the Stavanger are built for heavy loads and touring, the Sibbo has a different mission. It combines the pace of a road bike with the freedom to take the gravel detour.
– Agile road geometry: Steep angles and short 428 mm chainstays keep steering immediate and acceleration sharp. Out of the saddle, it reacts like a proper road bike.
– Carbon fork & Cr-Mo steel: A full-carbon fork paired with double-butted 4130 steel damps road chatter without losing that lively steel feel.
– 2×12 drivetrain & 45 mm clearance: Shimano GRX 2×12 offers tight gear steps for fast tarmac, while generous clearance for up to 700×45C tires opens up rougher terrain.
– All-season practicality: Dedicated mounts for full fenders, light racks, and bags make it equally suited for fast winter commuting, credit-card touring, or long-distance brevets.

PROVEN IN THE DEEP END
Long-distance endurance has always been central to the Sibbo. A decade ago, a crew of friends took early Sibbos across 2,400 kilometers of volcanic climbs and rural backroads in The Japanese Odyssey. Since then, riders like Sami Martiskainen have kept pushing the platform through countless brevets and relentless weather. The updated Sibbo builds directly on those hard-earned road hours.

Rather than keeping the first production bikes safely in the showroom, we sent the new Sibbo with Sami straight into another trial: Ruska 2026, a 2,000-kilometer unsupported ride across Finland in late autumn.
Through sub-zero headwinds and dark asphalt stretches from Huittinen to the Arctic Ocean, it proved what a modern steel road bike does best: comfortable enough for long hours in the saddle, yet stiff and reactive the moment you push the pace.

YOU DEFINE THE RIDE
Weekend gravel missions, 400 km rando loops, or fast-paced commuting in all four seasons. You define what you do with it. Sibbo is simply built to keep the speed up on asphalt and keep rolling when the pavement runs out.
