At Home on Trails
Thórsmörk is built for riders who look beyond gravel roads and familiar routes. When terrain becomes narrower, rougher and less predictable, this steel hardtail stays composed and confident.
Named after the Icelandic mountain ridge Þórsmörk, meaning “Thor’s Forest,” the bike draws inspiration from rugged landscapes shaped by raw nature.
Modern Trail Geometry
At its core is a double-butted chromoly frame built around modern trail geometry. The handling is stable on demanding terrain and descents, yet responsive through tighter sections. The ride feels balanced and predictable.
Clearance for 29 x 2.6” or 27.5 x 3.0” tires supports high-volume setups that improve grip, comfort and control on roots, rocks and uneven forest trails.
The Feel of Steel
The natural compliance of steel delivers a calm and controlled ride, especially over longer distances. It absorbs small vibrations without muting trail feedback, giving the bike a steady and reassuring character across changing terrain.
The durability of steel further strengthens that dependable feel, built to handle years of demanding trail riding.
Adaptable and Bikepacking-Ready
The 44 mm head tube supports a wide range of fork configurations. With a suspension fork, Thórsmörk becomes a confident trail hardtail for technical singletrack. With a rigid fork, it remains simple and efficient over longer rides.
The frame is dropper post ready and compatible with both SRAM and Shimano drivetrains, offering flexibility in setup without changing the way the bike rides. Multiple mounting points and space for frame bags make it well suited for bikepacking, while maintaining stable and predictable handling even when loaded. Full fender compatibility extends usability across seasons.

What kind of riding is the Thórsmörk designed for?
The Thórsmörk is a highly versatile and high-performance bike, perfectly suited for daily commuting, touring, and active riding. It is designed to adapt to a wide variety of terrains and weather conditions, making it a reliable choice for gravel roads, more demanding trails, and even snowy routes.
Which frame size is right for me?
The ideal frame size depends on your height, your inseam, and your personal riding position preferences.
The frame size is measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube (C-T). To determine the correct size, compare your height to the recommended size chart, and check that your inseam is slightly taller than the standover height of the frame (the height of the top tube from the ground). This ensures you can comfortably and safely stand over the bike.
If your height falls between two sizes, we always recommend sizing down to achieve a more agile and comfortable riding position. If you are still unsure about the sizing, feel free to contact our customer service at contact@pelagobicycles.com – we are happy to help you find the perfect fit!
What kind of accessories can be installed on the Pelago Thórsmörk?
The Thórsmörk is a versatile bike that easily accommodates water bottle cages and front-mounted racks, such as the Pelago Commuter Front Rack. When installing the front rack, please pay attention to the lower mounting points. Additionally, the fork is compatible with Pelago Fork Racks.
Can I install a suspension fork and a dropper post?
Yes, the bike is designed for diverse off-road riding, and both upgrades are possible:
Suspension fork: You can install a 120–140 mm suspension fork for enhanced performance on demanding terrain.
Dropper post: The frame features internal routing for a dropper post. The seatpost diameter is 31.6 mm. The maximum post insertion lengths by frame size are as follows:
Size S: 250 mm (+/- 5 mm)
Size M: 290 mm (+/- 5 mm)
Size L: 330 mm (+/- 5 mm)
Size XL: 370 mm (+/- 5 mm)
Can I install fenders on the Pelago Thórsmörk?
Yes, you can install fenders on the Thórsmörk. We recommend a width of 75 mm to provide excellent protection against dirt and spray. For winter riding and snowy trails, we recommend pairing the mudguards with 2.4–2.5″ wide tires to ensure sufficient clearance between the tire and the fender.
Can I buy a bike using an installment plan?
Yes, financing is available both online and in our physical stores. For online purchases, we offer flexible payment options via Klarna. In our Helsinki and Tampere stores, the payment method is Resurs Bank. You can read more about our payment and financing options here.
