New Stavanger, now available also as a frameset
The easiest way to describe the completely updated Pelago Stavanger is to talk about versatility. Stavanger is truly the most versatile Pelago bike and it serves multiple purposes without sacrificing anything.
Compared to the original Pelago Stavanger, new model has a lot more features from the look to the technical specifications. Stavanger’s size range has broaden a lot and now riders from 146cm to approximately 210cm can enjoy this bike without a problem.
Stavanger frameset comes with a new selection of features, but also a new colorway and decals. The design of the bike is timeless – just like any other Pelago bike.
Plenty of options for customisation
The new Pelago Stavanger is updated by adding features we thought were missing in the frames of Stavanger Outback and Stavanger Commuter. With wide range of sizes (from 146cm to 210cm riders), well thought details, multipurpose geometry and multifunctional features, Stavanger is your choice. Multifunctional features include great tire clearance, great fender clearance, dropper post ready, carbon fork capability and Di2 ready – just to name a few things.
New Stavanger frameset comes also with thru axles as we moved on from quick release with this model. Tapered headtube allows you to add carbon fork easily and great selection of different kinds of mounting points will keep your water bottles, racks and fenders in the right place. The rigid CrMo frame offers plenty of options for customization.

• Frame size (1) is measured from the center of the Bottom Bracket Axis to the top of the Seat Tube (C-T).
• Rider Height suggests the average sizing for the bike-rider fit. If your height is between two sizes, choose the smaller size for more comfortable riding position.
• Stand Over Height (2) tells the height of the top tube measured from the ground. Your Inseam should always be higher than the Stand Over Height. (2)

Which frame size is right for me?
The ideal frame size depends on your height, your inseam, and your personal riding position preferences.
The frame size is measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube (C-T). To determine the correct size, compare your height to the recommended size chart, and check that your inseam is slightly taller than the standover height of the frame (the height of the top tube from the ground). This ensures you can comfortably and safely stand over the bike.
If your height falls between two sizes, we always recommend sizing down to achieve a more agile and comfortable riding position. If you are still unsure about the sizing, feel free to contact our customer service at contact@pelagobicycles.com – we are happy to help you find the perfect fit!
What parts are included with the frameset?
In addition to the frame and fork, the frameset includes the following parts needed for assembly and customization:
– Front and rear thru-axles
– Derailleur hanger and two fixing screws
– Cable clips (3 x 4/5 mm, 1 x 4 mm, and 4 x C-Clips) and necessary screws
– Dropper post plug, 2x round plugs, and fixing screws
– Seat clamp
– Seat tube shim
– Sticker set
Can the Stavanger be set up with a 2x drivetrain?
Yes, absolutely. Even though the standard complete bike comes with a 1x setup, the frame is fully compatible with a 2x (double) front derailleur.
You can use wide-stance gravel or road groupsets, such as Shimano GRX or compatible 2x SRAM systems.
Note: Triple (3x) cranksets have not been tested for compatibility.
Can I buy the frame or fork separately?
No. We sell the framesets together as a package.
Can I install a carbon fork on the Stavanger?
Yes, you can easily install a carbon fork on the bike. When choosing a fork, you should keep the following dimensions and features in mind:
– Compatible with both straight 1 1/8″ and tapered steerer tubes.
– Axle-to-Crown (AC) dimension of approx. 400 mm.
– 12×100 mm thru-axle and flat mount brake standard, if you want to use the bike’s original wheels and brake components.
Please note that installing a fork with internal brake routing may require shortening and bleeding the brake hose. Therefore, we recommend having a professional bike shop handle the installation.
What kind of headset fits the Pelago Stavanger frameset?
The Stavanger frameset is compatible with an external cup (EC) headset featuring an upper cup of EC34 and a lower cup of EC44.
Depending on your fork’s steerer tube, you will need a matching crown race:
– 30 mm for a traditional straight 1 1/8″ steerer tube.
– 40 mm for a tapered 1.5″ steerer tube.
How much does the frameset weigh?
The frame weighs 2.6 kg and the fork 1.2 kg (in size 54).
