Nothing says spring like our two new city bike models, Åbo and Borgå. They are a fresh addition to our timeless steel bike range, adding up some modern feeling and new colors to the popular city bike category. Bicycles are designed and spec’d to the streets of Copenhagen for the demands of the young-minded urban cyclist, but this limited edition is available elsewhere too.
Bicycles are named after two of the oldest cities in Finland, Turku and Porvoo. Both picturesque cities are located in the southern coastline and have a long cultural history. As a tribute to our other official language in Finland, the names of the bikes are this time in Swedish. In Finland places are often named in both languages and a lot of Finnish owes an inspiration from Swedish. Names have something familiar, a shared history which exists in everyday life of city dweller.
Pelago Åbo
In the name “Åbo” Å stands for river and bo for living. The city of Åbo is said to have the soul of the metropolis in a body of a small town. Likewise Pelago Åbo combines urban style with a simple and easy spec-level. New beautiful, pale yellow color scheme is sweet and subtle, and will brighten the day.
Pelago Åbo is a comfortable 3-speed bike for daily riding, but works also for shorter trips out of town. Puncture protected Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires roll smoothly even on a cobblestone streets – needed when riding along the Aurajoki riverbank in Åbo – and strong double wall alloy rims are durable enough for rougher rides too. Minimalistic design follows the Pelago DNA and stylish details, such as Brooks B17s leather saddle and polished aluminium fenders, will do the rest.

Pelago Borgå
Few hours ride from Helsinki, the charming town of Borgå is ideal for a day trip. When entering the old harbour city, the medieval Cathedral welcomes you. Seeing this you will make the connection to the bicycle graphic.
Pelago Borgå is a simple and fresh looking bike with a deep blue metallic paint job and polished aluminium fenders. It’s a new alternative for the urban skippers. Borgå has a nice upright riding position, and the shorter geometry of the bike creates a nimble ride-feel. When you are looking for a reliable and stylish daily tool for commuting within the urban areas or for laidback day trips out of town, this is your ride.
Borgå is equipped with the comfortable puncture protected Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires and Brooks B17 leather saddle. It has 3-gears and two handbrakes. Like any other Pelago bikes, Pelago Borgå works perfectly with Pelago racks – both rear and front.
